Question Cut Wires
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: gss25lgmabb
Age: 5 - 10 years

My refrigerator & freezer stopped geting cold, I had a Tech come out, and he said it was the main board. After he left I removed the panels and discoverd that several wires had been cut, (ptcr relay, overload relay ,and run capacitor) when I called the company the tech said that - that is how you have to check the compressor, of course he did not repair the wires. is that normal to cut wires to do test?

It is not normal practice to cut the wires.

You normal do the check from the contact pins either on the board or on the wiring harness.

Here is a link to your fridge model gss25lgmabb.
