Cracked and leaking refrigerator water valve Brand: General Electric Model Number: TFX22JWXA AA Age: More than 10 years My refrigerator water valve has a crack underneath it on the main body between the 2 water outlets. There was a continuous leak that caused major flooding. I have the original valve- #WR57X111. In removing it, I have detached the copper water line and both plastic water tubes. Both the water supply and power are off. I can’t figure out how to remove the electrical components. It looks like they should slide off the 4 flat metal plates that protrude from the valve body, but they don’t. There are 2 rectangular plastic sheaths that cover the connection between the wires and the metal plates. Do those come off? I see no release. Where do I detach? |
