Red face Condensor fan speed
Brand: Amana
Model Number: ARS2666AC
Age: 5 - 10 years

I replaced the fan inside the freezer 18 months ago because it we ratteling or going out. It seems that from that point on the icemaker has had issues where it would never fill the ben. The tempature in the refrigerator seemed warmer than normal.
I placed a thermometer in the freezer and it at times will get down to single digits but the refrigerator has never been below 43deg.
It seems there is not much airflow in the refrigerator and freezer. I did check the coils inside the freezer today. Ther are not iced up. The defrost timer works. I marked it and checked it later to see if it moved from the spot mark i put on it.
My question is this motor I put in as a replacement be a slower turning motor? The fan blade is the same so that's not the issue. I checked the rotation and it pulls air from the bottom of the coils.
My memory remembers more air flow.
Any thoughts?

If you still had the old motor you could compare the rating on the motor.

The part number has not change so I would say it is the same motor.

Where did you get your new motor from?

Have you check the fan motor in the back of the fridge to make sure it is running when the compressor comes on.

Check the condenser coil and make sure that they are free of dust.

Here is a link to your fridge model ARS2666AC.
