Default Condensor Fan Motor
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: PDS22MBSAWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello this is in regards to a GE Bottom Freezer Fridge

Sides of the unit was heating up .. condensor fan motor would not run..

Changed the condensor fan motor .. no joy .. until I jumper the wire between

RED & YELLOW wire on the connection to motor... the motor will run as long as this connect is in place

The old motor will not run if you do the same thing...

The fan on the evaporator motor is running .. no ice on the unit ...

Not sure what else to try..

Thanks in advance for any ideas..

It is likely the mother board is not suppling power to the motor.

Check the voltage at the main board connector J 2.

You should have at least 12 volts DC between pins 3 and 5 and between 3 and 8.

If you don't you will have to replace the main board.

Here is a link to your fridge model PDS22MBSAWW.
