Default Condenser Fan Motor not running
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: PDS22SCRBRSS
Age: 1 - 4 years

This morning I noticed the compressor making a slightly louder noise than normal. Upon checking the inside temperature, found that both the refrigerator and freezer were warming up. On further inspection found that he condenser fan motor was not running. The motor utilizes 12vdc for power and a third wire. The evaporator fan motor is much like the condenser fan motor that utilizes 12vdc and the third wire is at 0.4 vdc with the unit off and 10vdc with the unit on. But, the third wire on the condenser fan motor reads 0.4 with the unit off and 2.2vdc with the unit on.
1. Are these fan motors dc motors with a thyristor switch to turn it on?
2. Based on the voltage from the control board, I am suspecting a board problem rather than a motor problem.

Any experience?

Thanks,
EWF

Yup, there is a very high chance of the main board failure!
