My Refrig. is making a loud knocking noise. I took off the back panel and found it to be my compressor.... Can I do anything to make it stop making all that noise without replacing it? I have the compressor part # DA51C72RCU6.
Sometimes, if there is room you can take off all the motor mounts and tilt the compressor till the noise stops, now just schim up the compressor with something. The cause of noise is a weak internal compressor spring. Should be ok for a few years.
