I have a nearly new Kenmore Refrigerator model#253.7480240E with ice maker model# AS-18.

Since day 1 the ice maker produces very little ice. We always have to keep ice trays handy as it will not produce enough for a family of 3. Maybe enough for 1.

The ice maker will usually dump once every 1- 2 hours & has never filled the ice bucket full.

Any ideas on how I can remedy this?

Is the ice the proper size?

Is the temperature in the freezer 5 degrees or below?

If everything normal you should book a service call if your fridge is under a year old.
