We did not have any cool air coming into our refrigerator on top, my husband found there was frost on the freezer coils and defrosted it. We had the same problem 3 months ago so this time he did more research on line and realized the defrost assy probably needs to be replaced which we are going to do.

However, I am wondering if part of the trouble, is when we close the fridge the freezer door opens slightly sometimes it closes itself and other times it stays open slightly. I try to catch it but with 2 kids, sometimes I later find it slightly ajar.

I checked to see if anything is blocking the door from closing all the way and it's not. I closed it tightly and then tried to open it and there was some resistance to opening it so I think the seal is fine? Looking at the seal, it looks like new all the way around.

Any ideas besides trying to train the kids to check to make sure the freezer is closed every time they close the fridge?
