Default Clicking sound that can last 30 minutes or more
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSH25JFRFCC
Age: 1 - 4 years

Fridge makes a clicking sound like something is trying to start but kicks off. While the fridge is making this sound you can see the fan in the freezer trying to come on and the lights inside will dim every time it clicks. This can last up to 30 minutes or more....

Check the capacitor and then Compressor motor. Sounds like it's trying to start. Refrigerator Repair Guide: How To Fix a Refrigerator - ACME HOW TO.com

Replace the compressor overload and relay. That is the parts, that are attached to the compressor. You also might want to check and see what your warranty is. You might have a 5 year warranty on the compressor, and the conponentry. If you need me you can reach me at www.appliance educator.com Tom
