Default Clicking Sound
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: PDS22MHRBBB
Age: 1 - 4 years

I woke during the night to a clicking sound. I came downstairs and discovered the fridge was making a loud clicking sound about once per second. The next morning I pulled it out from the wall and determined the sound to be coming from the motherboard and circuitry behind a metal covering that can be taken off by removing three screws. Having read other posts, I'm unclear as to what my problem may be. If I thought replacing the Motherboard would fix it, I'd do it, but if it's an issue with the compressor, I don't want to waste the time and money. Any ideas?

If the mother board is clicking then there is likely a problem with it.

Is the compressor still working or has the fridge shut down?

Here is a link to your fridge model PDS22MHRBBB.
