Default Change Ice Cube size in MAytag ICE20
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MFI2568AEB
Age: 1 - 4 years

The cubes on my ICE20 Maytag are too big to come through the dispenser. The tray fills too much and the cubes are still frozen together. Is there any way adjust the amount of water that goes into the tray to fill it? Any valve adjustment anywhere?
thanks

The water valve is opened to fill the tray with a timed switch. If you remove the plastic cover from the end of the ice maker you may can find an adjustment with the + and - symbol. If you find one turn it to the - side.

Default thanks..but it didnt work...

Woody, I took of the front cover off and sure enought there was a screw above the gear that had +/- on it and I turned it all the way to - but it did not changed anything. I then turned it to all the way plus and it didnt change either.... I am thinking of taking off gears and the screw and taking off the face plate and looking back there......any other thoughts? Thanks for your help....

Here a place that may help looking at it. I would try it if it were mine.

Default thanks woody...

the picture (in that link that you attached above) of the front, is the icemaker is what I have. I tightend the screw that is shown in the upper right all the way down (-) and unscrewed it almost off (+) and no change to the ice size so the inlet switch may be the problem. When the HV/LV board blew out (as all ICE20's do....) is when the ice size changed. I didnt think the two were linked but the power surge may have blown the inlet valve. I will check it out.

Thanks again for everyone's help
