Thumbs down Can you tell me how to remove cover around Ice/Water Dispenser
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSRS25QGWH01
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have broken part(s) in the Ice door chute mechanism. I'm having a hard time accessing the mechanism to be able to order and then replace the parts the broken parts. By removing the plastic cover surrounding the dispenser opening I believe I will get the access I need. The cover appears to snap-in on the top and bottom. I can raise the cover a bit by inserting my fingers in the sides but I am hestitant to apply enough pressure because I'm afraid I will break the cover. Can anyone tell me the correct technique I can use to remove the cover in one piece?

I'm the owner of this post and I believe I see a solution. I bent down and looked at the bottom of the cover and see there are two slots in the bottom. I'm pretty sure that they are there to insert a screw driver or similar tool to pry the cover off from the bottom. I did a quick try with a screw driver and it seems to require more than a light amount of prying but I am willing to increase the pressure as no one has comeup with a better solution for me try.

You are right insert your screwdriver and pry out and the bottom should pop off.

Then slide the trim up and it will come off.

Here is a link to your fridge model KSRS25QGWH01.
