With the help of the forum I know I need a defrost timer to fix my problem. I am living in Germany. The part is available at Part Select, but they don't ship overseas. I have had problems having family ship me parts for other items as it becomes a Customs and Duties nightmare. I have searched the web trying to find someplace I can buy the part locally. GE was no help. I am in Dresden.

The only thing that I can suggest is to look in the yellow pages or going to a store that sells appliances and see if they can tell you where you can get parts.
