Question Broken Refrigerator Rack
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MSD2957DEW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello!

I just purchased the replacement parts for the supports that have broken off of our refrigerator shelves. Currently I have the old supports duct taped but I have noticed that they are starting to slip again. Without these supports, the shelving in the lower part of the refrigerator collapse, making a total mess of food.

I have looked and there does not look like there is an easy way to replace the supports, short of taking apart the internal wall of the refrigerator. Please help!

Thanks!

Dee

You have metal rails on the back wall. Are the little plastic screw retainers bad??
Don't understand your problem.

The part number is 67764-1.
Thanks. I tried to Post but I am not sure if it did.

Does the support that you just got look like the old one?

There should be a screw that goes through the support.

If is not catching on the inside you may need a different support.

Here is the part number ps46271.

Default support

I don't think the support that I ordered looks like the old one. I can't even find a screw that looks like it holds it in!

I will take apart the shelves this weekend and see if I can figure it out this weekend. If I go to the page with the parts, will I be able to see it ?

Thanks

Here is what the original support looks like.

Here is the replacement if the original will not hold.

Hi Sheila,

My rack support does not look like this. I took things apart and actually at this point I am using twist ties to hold up the rack. If/when this no longer works, I will order the replacement part you suggested.

Thanks!

Dee
