I have a 7 1/2 year old Amana Refrig that when the compressor kicks in creates an excessive amount of noise after you hear a click sound. Last week I had an authorized appliance repair shop replace under warranty the compressor which somewhat reduced the excess noise - at least the frequency. However I am convinced that we just did a band aid to the root cause of whatever the source of the problem is.

The vibration noise seems to lesson after the compressor gets working.

Any suggestions?

Check for loose compressor mounts or anything else loose that could vibrate when the compressor comes on. Remove the cover on the lower back to access the area.
