Default Bottom Freezer Light Inoperative
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: PFSS6PKWASS
Age: Less than 1 year

The light bulb in my bottom mount freezer won't come on when the door is opened. I took the bulb out and tried it to see if it worked in a table lamp. The bulb is good. I figured that it must be the switch that is either inop. or maybe frozen. I looked in the freezer compartment but I could not locate the switch. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be or where the light switch is located? Thanks!

Did you look for the switch on the face of the freezer where the door would engage the switch when closed.

woodchuck:

Yes, I did look all around the face of the frame for anything that remotely resembles a switch or "button" of some sort that would turn the light off and on.
