Default Blowing warm air
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRT18G4AW4
Age: 1 - 4 years

Fan is blowing warm air. I have replaced the Defrost timer.Top part is the freezer, bottom part is refridgerator. I took the back panel off inside the freezer. No ice at all on the lines. Could this possible be just the defrost thermostat. Or does this problem mean something else.? Thanks for any input

Your first sentence was the fan is blowing warm air, which would indicate to me that you have a compressor problem. But on that compressor is a overload a relay which start the compressor. That could very well be your problem. Pull the refrigerator out, and take the back panel off, and see if the compressor is running. If you have a relay and overload problem, the compressor will either be hot as a pistol, or cold as a cucumber. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

I have replaced the capacitor (compressor relay). I also replaced the defrost thermostat as well. Is there anything else I should check before i assume its a dead issue. And go out and purchase another refrigerator. Thanks again for your help.

I am sorry to say that it is a dead issue. If you have done all that and the compressor has not come on. Then the compressor is bad. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
