I screwed in what appears to be a defective bulb. Apparently caused a short. Now new bulb won't work. What needs to be replaced to get door light working again? This is not the bulb inside the fridge but the one outside at the dispenser.

You may have a bad light socket.

Unplug the fridge and check to see if there is anything in the socket.

Make sure that you are using the right bulb.
