Default Bad ASM board or relay?
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSH25JSRFSS
Age: 1 - 4 years

Fridge works fine until you try to use the ice or water dispenser and then it will click and dim the dispenser light continuously until you either unplug it or turn the freezer control knob to 0 then turn it back on again. While it is clicking and dimming lights it sounds like everything is turning on and off repeatedly and will lose it's cool in both sides. We have no problems until we try to use any portion of the dispenser even by trying to use the dispenser light only.I took the cover of of the large relay on the asm board and when the fridge starts acting up this relay clicks on and off untill I reset it.The contacts in that relay were badly burnt and I tried cleaning them but with no luck. What do I do?Can I just replace that relay or the whole board and is this actually the problem.Everything else in and under the fridge looked fine. The fans are all working good.It just started doing this suddenly with no warnings.I can't find anything else that may cause this.I even tried removing the ice dispenser and unplugged it but still get the same problems even without it in there.I am hpoing the relay is just tired because a new fridge is not in our budget right now.Can anyone confirm this board is the issue and what would have caused it to fail?thank's Bob.

Default

This has been an issue with the GE fridges.

The control board is the problem.

A lot of people have call GE and they have replace the mother board at no charge.

What is causing the problem in the board I am not sure.

Here is the phone number for General Electric
US 1-800-626-2005 Canada 1-877-959-8688

When you call be sure to have both your model and serial number and date of purchase.

Here is a link to your fridge model GSH25JSRFSS.
