Hello! I'm getting a serious runaround from the Avanti folks and, well, long story short it looks like if this things going to get fixed, I'm going to have to do it myself. I know little about refrigerator repair, but I consider myself pretty handy around the house and have a degree in electronics so I have some aptitude. Wanted to see if anyone out there might be able to point me in the right direction. I haven't removed a single screw thus far for fear of voiding a warranty. Now, however, it looks like the warranty is of no consequence. I plan on opening it up this weekend and having a look.

We've had the fridge for just over a year and a few weeks ago, it simply stopped working. There is no indication that the thing is getting power. No lights, no refrigation and a blank LCD screen. I have verified power to the outlet but that's as far as I've gone. Is there anything that this refrigerator (or refrigerators in general) are prone to? Bad fuse, bad part, etc? Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is likely in the electronics.
