Default Assistance in replacing thermostat
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSS22SGMD BS
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello out there - need help in - 1) making sure I know where the thermostat is; purchasing the correct one and replacing it. I've done this before on other models, just not this particular one.
I have been manually defrosting it for some time now, it's time to replace it. I'm having difficulty in finding pictures/ schematics and specific instructions to do it myself for this particular model number- help?

thank you -

SeerEye

You probably have a bad heater in back of freezer panel. Would replace both heater and thermostat.
