Default Amana Icemaker help...
Brand: Amana
Model Number: 33d25tw
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hiya..........

I need help with the icemaker. All seems to work correctly, but the water overfills in the ice tray. It is only by a second or two. It just barely overfills and then drops a bit of water into the ice bin, which in turn freezes the ice chunks solid.

Do you think it is the water valve or perhaps the water limit switch?
Help,
Jas Fortner

PS/ The model # is ssd25tw (not 33d25tw)

could also be leaking icemaker mould. These icemakers commonly deteriorate where the cubes are formed.you will have to remove the icemaker to inspect..It will look like flaking paint.......water adjustment on yours is very minimal i believe

I appreciate yur response. The icemaker mold isn't leaking yet, but I thankyou for that input. I will watch for that in the future. I have watched the water just slighly continue flowing and then overflow the mold. Seems like it flows just a second or two too long.
