i was told to replace start switch so i did it still wont start

compresser still hums.

i was looking at paper work on unit i states 2-5 years amana will replace sealed
componets free of charge .
is this a warranty issue ?

I hope so it cost me 1100.00 on 10-23-03

Yes they will replace compressor free. If you have a meter you should check for power to the compressor and continuity in both compressor windings.
