Red face All the Food Defrosted - Won't Get Cold
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: side by side

Refrigerator stopped getting cold. It is about seven years old. At one year old, it had the same problem and some type of a relay was replaced. In an area where we get a lot of power spikes. Appreciate any guidance you might have. There is a blue relay on the compressor that I suspect ? Thank you, Jim

Jim

Your fridge has a defrost timer located in the fresh food section in the control panel. It is possible that the timer is stuck in the defrost position. If you look at the control panel you should see what looks like a button that has a notch in it.

With a screwdriver turn this button. If your fridge starts to run you will require a new defrost timer. Here's a link to your part: Whirlpool KSRB27FHSS03 Parts List
