Default 2005 Hotpoint Side By Side
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: HSM25GFRESA
Age: 1 - 4 years

I Have A 2 Year Old Homedepot Hotpoint Side By Side Model Number Hsm25gfrsa. It's The Grey Front With Black Body Style For $800.00 Model.
It Makes Ice Fast. But The Past 8 Months It Would Not Dispense Any Water. Recently It Happened To Dispense Water But After A Week It Is Gone. I Thought The Fridge Valve Was Not Opening For The Water And Only For The Ice Maker But Have A Feeling It's The Mother Board. I Don't Want To Spend $100 For A 2 Year Old Motherboard. Is This Common For This Brand? It Is A Shame Because The Ice Maker Is Fast And Great! Please Help!!!! Thank You!!![/center]

It does sound like it is a problem with the mother board.

Yes GE has been having trouble with the mother board in both the GE brand name fridges and the Hotpoint brand name fridges.

You should read some of the other post.

A lot of people have contacted GE and have received a new mother board and service for free.

Here is the number for General Electric
US 1-800-626-2005 Canada 1-877-959-8688.

Here is a link to your fridge model HSM25GFRESA.
