Default Whirlpool Receptacle-Mod
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: RC8700EDB
Age: 5 - 10 years

This is the downdraft cooktop with the 2 radiant modules. The Module on the right no longer works. There is no power from the receptacle outlet. I've switched both modules so I know it is the receptacle and not the module itself.

I tried ordering the parts, got the brackets, screws etc but the receptacle is only the ceramic shell portion, no cables or electric connectors come with it. Where can I find the receptacle with the electrical cables...was told that this was discontinued by the manufacturer...Do I now have to get rid of the stove and start over? Does anyone know what I need to order?

The wiring harness may not be available but if the female terminals in the block are still in good condition all you may need is the wire.

Check the wiring.

If this is all you need you can buy wire at any electrical supply outlet.

Here is a number for Whirlpool US 1-866-698-2538 Canada 1-800-807-6777.
