Default Whirlpool oven door assembly
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: RF377PXGQ0
Age: Less than 1 year

I had to disassemble and remove the outer oven glass to clean it. I am having a problem reassembling it properly. The problem is how should the side trim strips be installed. I looked at some new stoves but the trim strips on them have been redesigned.
Help please

PROBLEM SOLVED- The trim strips go under the glass. Everything working fine now.

Talking Whirlpool oven door assembly

Hi blasterman,
I'm having exactly the same problem with cleaning the oven door. But before taking it apart completely, I thought you might be able to give me any kind of advice on it. The problem with my door is the dirt in between the two glass pannels. How can the door be disassembled once it's off the oven? Do I have to take the oven's side pannels off to undo the door hinges to take off the door?
I'll be thankful for any advice (even some of the difficulties you might have encountered...)
Greetings from Ireland,
Phaze

Phaze-
You didn't say what make & model you have. If it is the same as mine, the Use and Care Manual that came with the stove explains how to remove the door and the Parts Manual gives a good Illustration of how the parts fit togather. If you don't have these publications I would suggest you go to Whirlpool on the web and download them. They are available.

I would suggest that if you have a digital camera take a picture of each stage of the disassemly so you can see how each part is oriented in relation to the rest of the assembly.
Hope this helps-
John
