Whirlpool GR395LXG over heats Brand: Whirlpool Model Number: GR395LXG Age: 5 - 10 years Trying to help a 76 yr. old widow. She called Sears and the tech said it would cost $400-500 to fix, best if she got a new one!.
Symptoms:
Turn on, both elements come on during preheat to 350. The lower element goes off, upper stays on. Beeps three times and E2-F3 is displayed along with cool-clean. Can't turn off, must pull CB.
From what I've read here and other forums it's a toss up between heat sensor ($67.00) and the ERC which I haven't found yet for this model. I have electronic background but before I go ording parts on a whim, do you have any better idea? |
