Default Wall oven does not light
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: SB130PER3
Age: More than 10 years

This oven quit functioning recently. We were cooking in it when we smelled gas. The igniter was lit -- well, glowing red anyway -- but there was no flame. Since then, the igniter still comes on, but there's no flame, so neither the oven nor the broiler is working.

When the igniter is on, is there eventually supposed to be some type of pilot flame? I don't see anything on the manifold parts list like a thermocouple or anything, so I'm not sure where to look first. Anyway, any ideas what my trouble is here or how to troubleshoot in better depth? It looks like you have enough parts in stock to build another oven, but I don't want to replace parts willy-nilly if I can avoid it. We live in a rural area, and the cost to roll a service truck way out here makes me want to fix it myself if I can

Thanks.

It sounds like the regulator may have failed.

Going by your model number most of the parts for your oven are no longer available.

Here is a link to your oven model SB130PER3.

Thanks Shelia.

Oh well, the missus has been looking for an excuse for a new one anyway
