Question Wall Oven
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JKP15
Age: More than 10 years

when using the wall oven for bake or broil the oven comes up to temp. for a half an hour then shuts off and display goes blank. It does come back on after a while only to have the same thing happen again. Is this fixable?

You may have a faulty thermal disk.

Can you please supply the end of your model number?

There should be at least 4 to 6 more digits.

There are two thermal disk in your oven. One is a safety and the other is an operating thermostat.

It is likely the operating thermostat that is faulty.

Here is a link to your oven model jkp15ba1bb.
