wrestlingmom, First of all NEVER Call Sears, they will eat you for breakfast. Now let me see if I understand you. This Jenn-aire has the burners in a seperate package. You can lift the whole assembly out. If so the problem you would most likely have is the burners are not making contact. Please correct me if I am wrong, because I pulled your model #, and they are not giving me a picture of your burners. So I will assume, that they are coil type burners. Take the whole assembly out of the oven. To do that, lift up the back, and pull it back to unplug from stove. Now, pull 1 of the burners out, and what the burners plug into is most likely your problem. They are called burner blocks. What you have to do to replace them is take all the 1/4" screws out of the assembly, and it will crack like an egg. Cut the wires to each of the burner blocks, and replace them with the new ones. You will have to strip the ends of the wires that you cut, and the kit that they will give you at the part house, has wire nuts to put on the end of the wires when you put them together. You can do this. If you need me, you can get me on my web site, at ApplianceEducator.com Tom |
