My JES9800 Jenn Air Electric Downdraft Slide-In Range's control panel buttons have stopped working on the lower half of the unit (#6,7,8,9&0 on the touch pad)?

Does any one know if the replacement part needed is the touch pad/ control panel assembly or the circut board/timer? Both parts are about $200.00 each?

Oh Yeah....and how do I fix it?

The first then to do is check the connection from the keypad to the clock.

Cleaning the ribbon cable will sometimes work if it has turned green in spots.

Alcohol will clean it.

Make sure that you unplug or turn the power off to the range before you attempt to disassemble the control panel.

To remove the control panel open the oven door and remove the screws securing the control panel.

Remove the screws located on the right and left sides of the control panel.

Grasp the control panel on the far left and right sides and gently pull the control panel out and down.
