Default Top removal - Magic Chef Range
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: 3468XVW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello,

I need to replace the Orifice & tube assembly on a Magic Chef range that is broken. Is there a trick to removing the top panel? I havent tried yet as the parts are on order, it appears to be a matter of disconnecting the gas supply coming up the back of the range feeding the burners, and then removing the top, but i didnt want to get stuck and leave my mother without a working range while I hunt for awnsers.

Any tips/tricks?

And yes, i DO have a gas license

Thanks,

Dave

Usually the burner caps will have to be remove in order to lift the top of the range.

Then release the two spring clips holding the top down.

I am not sure with the Magic Chef.

Here is a link to your range model 3468XVW.
