Default Thermastat
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: ecw900
Age: More than 10 years

my oven has stopped baking.I thought it was the thermastat but I'm now hearing that it may be the "display panel" a.k.a. clock. It seems to broil ok but when on low broil,if I switch over to bake the display says 425 deg,I dont think it should be that hot.I wont have the proper tools to do a diagnosis til this weekend, but is there anything i can do simple tests on to fix this.
thnx 4 ur time,Tin-Indian

Can you please check your model number as I can't locate it in our database.

The model number should be on a tag with the serial number on the frame of the stove where the drawer closes or if it is a wall oven at the bottom of the door.
