Unhappy Thermador ST2 - clips attaching base housing to cooktop
Brand: Other
Model Number: Thermador ST2 - serial #641794
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Thermador 15 inch stainless steel 2 coil electric cooktop. The cooktop is attached to the counter with four screws. The base housing, the bottom part surrounding the elements and containing the electrical input, is attached to the cooktop with two clips. The clips protrude through holes on each side of the base housing. Pushing on the clips will separate the base housing from the cooktop and allow access to the electrical input and cooktop internals. Does anyone know how these clips fit into the base housing allowing it to be connected to the cooktop? If anyone has a schematic showing the operation and installation of these clips or can direct me to a manual I would be very thankful. I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure this out. I thank everyone in advance for their wisdom.
