I have a tappan range which will not regulate. When turned on it heats to full maximum temperature. I have replaced the thermostat and this did not help. My thinking is that the gas valve for the oven is stuck open. Does this sound like the right diagnosis? How difficult is it to get to the valve, and where is it located. Any advice/information including pictures would be appreciated.
