Default Tappan Door Springs inside door- NLA?
Brand: Tappan
Model Number: 36-6205-00 / 02-333-4
Age: More than 10 years

Hi Everyone, ........................ Tappan Model 36-6205-00/02-333-4 S.N 042

Man, am I ever frustrated! I must have browsed through every Tappan 36" free standing range parts list there is on earth! He He Everyone says my model doesn't exist. It just must be a little too old. Mine looks like a lot of the ranges I saw.
Some of the older techs will probably remember seeing what I am looking for. All I want is a couple of new door springs. The problem is that my older Tappan Visualite range has the springs inside of the oven door. All of the ranges that I see have the springs in the body of the range.
Now you would think, Just cut down a spring to fit. noooooo.. My springs have an adjustment screw at the one end. all of the springs I see that are tapered at one end where the screw would go are wound the wrong way. I'm thinking on maybe replacing my screw with a nut and bolt so I could use the backwards wound springs but who wants to be making thier own parts?
Is there anyone out there who can help me find my springs?

Bob

After a few emails to Electrolux Major Appliance where they're supposed to have manuals for everything...( web.manuals@electrolux.com ) I was told that my 1960range is too old to find anything for it oWell, there is still a lot of parts that are on similar model numbers that are the same. Just have to make a few of my own.

Just thought I'd let you all know how this turned out.
