Tappan Dbl Oven Top won't ignite

I am trying to find a replacement gas valve for the Tappan Dbl oven..
The top oven will not turn on, but oven does. I've isolated it to the valve, but no one seems to be ble to find a replacement part. In fact all services I've tried can't match up the the model # or part # of valve.
Anyone help, PLEASE!!!

Can you please verify your model number?

Are the numbers clear?

the model number is clear and stamped on a metal strip under the range cover.

Not that I'm aware of. It was bought around 1984 and sold under the O'Keefe and Merit. Came new with the house in Corona California.

Okeefe&Merritt is the name on the oven door, but Tappan is on the tag wher the Model # and Serial # is stamped. OPkeefe is a division of Tappan

You should try calling Tappen at US 1-800-599-7569 Canada 1-800-265-8352.
