Default Stove Continues to Spark
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JGP336WEV4WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a GE Stove top that continues to spark with knobs in the "Off" postion. It has not been cleaned or wet in over one month, so I do not believe it is moisture. I replaced the spark module. but that did not fix the problem. Someone told me that it sounds like the wiring harness needs to be replaced.

Does this sound correct?

Also, when I called GE for part number, they do not have any wiring parts for my model number.

Please help

Check the switches on the valves.

Is it sparking on all the burners?

Here is a link to your cook top model JGP336WEV4WW.

Same thing is happening on my GE range...the exact same model number. It suddenly (and I mean suddenly) started sparking on all four burners simultaneously.

Any ideas?

Bob
