Default Start Button does not work
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GW395LEPB00
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a Whirlpool Gold GW395LEPB00 Oven and all the front panel buttons work except the start button. It just happened one day while I was using the oven to bake bread. It won't work at all now and have have shut power to the oven and even done a reset..nothing. What should I look at replacing first...??

Not a easy problem to diagnose from the old perch. That is why your problem has recieved 35 looks, and no answers. I would venture to go with the clock control board, because when it worked, it cut off by itself, which seems to tell me that a relay on the board is droping out. Touch pads on that product do not normally go out. The part # is 9760013. The technical name of the part is a migration control. I just put one it last week. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

Is there any codes in the display?

Does the start button feel different when you push it than the others?

Can you still set the temperature and the time?

Here is a link to your range model GW395LEPB00.
