Unhappy Sparked and Popped
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FEFB68CSB
Age: 1 - 4 years

Last nite while using the oven and 1 burner my wife heard a loud pop from behind the display panel and then sparks flew from the back side of the display panel. After unplugging unit I took the back panel off, on the lower right side of the the circuit board there is black around what appears to be like a fuse. according to what I can find out this is the clock/timer how hard is this to replace and what would make this part fail in only 3 1/2 years of use. any comments would be greatly appreciated.

It was likely a weak spot in the circuit board that cause the timer it blow.

The timers a not hard to replace.

Here is a link to your range model FEFB68CSB.
