I have already looked at the parts diagrams. I still don't know how to access and replace. Do I have to pull out this drop in unit or can I access from the bottom through the access panel or from the top by removing the chrome top, drip pan, etc. and loosening the gas jets?
Any guidence would be appreciated
It would appear that there is no access through bottom access panel so I guess question is can this be accessed through top without pulling entire stove out from position?

Did you ever get information on how to replace the spark igniter? I have the same issue and have found the schematic, thanks to your post, but I'm as puzzled as you are on how to access and replace the igniter. I know it screws out, but there is a wire below it and I imagine that has to be plugged into something - but to what?

It is a time consuming but not overly difficult job. The stainless steel rim has to be removed and in order to do this the unit must be pulled out as there are screws on the outside side and in the rear as well as those on the inside pans and vent area. In addition the rear panel must be removed also easy by taking screws out. Once the rear panel is removed you will see the wires coming from each side igniter.
With all screws removed (as above) the pans will be loose enough to access the underside on the pan (they are still attached at the gas inlets). The igniter is held in place with a lock washer and nut on the underside of the pan but the igniter can be removed by unscrewing from the top of the pan. After disconnecting the wire at the back of the stove, pull wire through (remembering it's course--not difficult). The washer and nut will then slip off the old igniter's wire and you use these on the new igniter. Reverse process for installation.
