Default Solid electric stovetop element
Brand: White-Westinghouse
Age: 5 - 10 years

The wife says,"GET IT FIXED!", so I guess I better get to it. For about 2 years now(hehe) the large solid element in out countertop stove has been acting up. It starts out fine sometimes when put on high, gets really hot, but then loses heat and you have to wait maybe 5-10 minutes for it to heat up again to hot, sometimes. Sometimes it takes longer. It is not the other burner the same size, that actually works like that, like an oven element that controls the temperature I suspect, thermostatically. This one should stay blistering hot when on high, but doesn't. Something tells me it's not the element because it can reach very hot temperatures. Could it be that big electrical box mounted under the counter? That looks more serious. Thanks for alland any replys in advance.
