Default Self Cleaning Oven Door Locked
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: MEF352BGWD
Age: 5 - 10 years
The door got locked in the self cleaning mode. We finally got it open but now can not close the door. I tried holding in the light switch for 20 seconds and it unlocked. Silly me waited until the next day and decided to try to clean the oven once more. The door is locked to where you can not close it. Holding the light switch in does not seem to help. The oven will not turn on.

HELP!

You will have to manually disengage the locking switch.

Pull the range out and unplug it.

Take the back off the range and disengage the lock.

The locking motor or switch may have failed.
