Hello,

We are cleaning (I think this is turning into a restoration project a Jen-Air slide in range/over.

Everything is working except the clock (timer works) and the oven door will not latch when I put the oven in the self cleaning mode.

This is what happens: I turn the latch (to the right) and the motor runs and the latch slides back to the orginal position...it does not "catch" the oven door at all.

Can someone tell us what is going on and how do we fix it?

And...does anyone have the wiring/schematic diagram for this oven?

Oven/range are in great shape - there are some things that need replacing - elec. burners and it would be nice to have a new "cast iron" burner set.

The wiring diagram should be on the back of the range.

I will try to find out why it will not latch.
