Default Self cleaning feature is not working
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: RF367LXKT
Age: 1 - 4 years

The self cleaning feature for my whirlpool range is not working because the door is not locking automatically. I removed the rear panel of the range and was able to manually rotate the arm so that the contacts would engage and lock the door. After this i was able to self clean the oven. Any ideas on what parts need to be replaced to fix this problem? It looked like it could be one of 3 things:

1- the touchpad is not sending the signal to the motor to rotate
2- the motor needs replacement
3- ?????

Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks,
Mitch

Yes you are right.

If you have a meter you can check the motor.

Did the door unlock it self?

This would tell you if the motor is good.
