Default Rubber gasket came off

Hello everybody!

How do you replace or put back the rubber gasket that seals the front of an oven against the door? Mine came off and I tried rubber cement and epoxy to attach it back but they don't work.

Oh my gosh, I might be wrong but I would think epoxy or cement would be toxic in the oven. Mine seems to have little screws to keep it tight.

lol

Not to worry, we've not done any baking yet since I can't get a proper seal. My oven does not have little screws attaching the gasket to the oven. I'm wondering if they have a sort of self-adhesive replacement gaskets.

If you can't find a replacement rubber gasket for your oven, maybe you can jury-rig the one that came off. Try drilling a hole in each corner of the front of your oven and affix that gasket with nuts and bolts.

try looking for small slots at the corners of the old seal area : if so use seals with metal hooks on each end.
