Model Number: 73-3951
Age: More than 10 years

This range has two ovens...the top oven is over heating. We think the thermostat is bad, but not sure how to replace it.

I don't have the exact instruction on how your range come apart but I will try to help.

Unplug or disconnect the power supply to the oven.

Pull the range out from its location.

Remove the back panel.

Remove all the knob on the control panel.

You will have to locate the screw to remove the control panel.

Take the trim off and the glass this will give you access to the screw to remove the oven control.

Unclip the sensing bulb inside the oven and push it through the hole in the oven liner.

When installing the new thermostat be sure not to damage the copper capillary tube that goes form the oven control to the sensing bulb.

Here is a link to a general breakdown of your range model 73-3951.

For a more detailed parts list for your range you will need the last four digits of your model number.
