Replacing spark module on gas range Brand: Maytag Model Number: MGS5870ADC Age: 5 - 10 years Hello,
I have a Maytag gas range/oven bought in 2002. The range top spark ignitors quit working, so I got online and got the wiring diagram and figured it must be the spark module since all burners were not working. Took the front off where the controls/clock are and found the spark module WAY back underneath the right side burners. Used a long screwdriver and tapped on the module and the ignitors now work again. Obviously something wrong with the module so I want to replace it. My question: How do you get in there to replace it without removing the top, which looks like a real chore/nightmare. In fact, my installation manual says in bold letters never to remove the top because of the piping, ect. Any help would be appreciated-Thanks |
