Default Replacing GE glass cooktop
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JP350WA1WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a GE JP350WA1WW stand alone glass cooktop. I am going to replace the glass but I cannot seem to find anywhere what is involved in removing the old glass and installing the new.

It is secured in by screws, glue or what? The parts diargam on this site does not show much detail.

Any help would be appreciated.

The top is screwed to the base.

Here is a link to your cook top model JP350WA1WW.

Thanx for the link although I did not need it.

I did get it replaced and it works fine.

When you look at that picture it does not show the bracket attached to the bottom of the glass and how it has screw holes in it.

One thing though, the old top was held on by 10 screws, 5 each side, but the new one only has 3 holes on each side that line up. The other holes are not anywhere close.
